Ginger

Ginger is a wild 4 year old Brittany Spaniel who lives with me and my parents. She is quite opinionated, will eat almost anything, spends most of the day guarding our backyard against the neighborhood squirrels, adores riding in the car, and is terrified of thunderstorms. I’ve recently started training her using clicker training.

Ginger and I have been going to some pre-agility classes at a dog training school in the Dallas area. You can see a video of some of our progress here. We had a sudden breakthrough in March when I stopped using lousy dog treats and started using hot dogs and string cheese for reinforcement. Hot dogs and string cheese are definitely more exciting than dog treats, especially when we’re training outside with plenty of distractions around!
