At the end of the summer, the rescue where I volunteer saved the lives of 23 horses from Iowa. We are currently trying to find adoptive homes (or foster homes) for these horses. These horses are registered Quarter Horses and American Paint horses, and are bred for Western Pleasure and Reining, but could excel at any discipline. They are all calm, smart and curious. The ones we have started working with have become incredibly people oriented and friendly. Most have had little, if any training and will require homes with previous horse experience.
I have posted photos here, as I know not everyone has access to facebook. We would appreciate your help in forwarding this information to anyone who might be interested in adopting, fostering or even helping to sponsor a horse. You can also check out the rescue's home page here: Never Enuff Acres or our petfinder page here. (Note: The Iowa horses have not yet been added to the website or petfinder. However, petfinder does list some of the other horses we have for adoption currently.)
The rescue has recently started a fund raising campaign selling magazines. 40% of your purchase will go directly to help the horses! Click here to participate.
