I’m getting really excited, the 5th annual Art and Science of Animal Training Conference is coming up in just a couple of weeks.
This year’s conference includes some of the world’s top animal trainers, including Bob Bailey, Ken Ramirez, Alexandra Kurland, Kay Laurence, Phung Luu, Steve White, and Susan Schneider.
This year’s keynote speaker is Susan Schneider. I’ve been reading her new book, The Science of Consequences, and am looking forward to getting to hear her speak.
This is one of my all time favorite conferences, it is always full of lots of great information about animal training and I find that I always learn lots. The conference is organized by ORCA, our animal training research group at the University of North Texas.
We’ve been planning this year’s conference since last summer and I know all of the lectures at the 2013 conference are going to be great. For those of you who read my blog but who won’t be able to make it to the conference, in the past I’ve posted notes from the conference on my blog. And, I’m planning to do so again this year! If you want to check out my notes from the 2012, 2010, and 2009 conference, just visit my conference and clinics notes page.
For more information about this year’s speakers and their talks (and for registration information) you can visit the conference section of the ORCA website.
