Paden Smells His Tail (Again!)

My friend Dawn took a great series of photos the other day of Paden smelling his tail. This is something we’ve been working on to teach him how to stretch his neck and begin working on lateral flexion. I took a break from riding, hopped into the pasture, and easily got him to stretch both ways! He’s really getting the hang of how this works. (and it doesn’t hurt that he gets a bit of grass as a reward at the end!)

For more information about this exercise, including a short video, see this post.

Hi Mary – only just now see you left a comment on Sadie’s website because it was trapped in my spam box. Thank you SO much for your useful comments about spaying. We still haven’t had Sadie ‘fixed’ but will definitely do so cos we don’t intend to breed her and I have the same worries about the health problems you mention.

    Paden is gorgeous BTW!

Thanks for the kind words, Liz! I also think he’s gorgeous, but I’m a bit biased. 🙂
