Actually, all of last week was kind of Ginger’s snow day. We’ve been having some NASTY weather in Texas, and poor Texas is not prepared for multiple days below freezing with snow and ice on the ground. In any case, the university was closed Tuesday through Friday last week, so I got a few extra holidays. It was nice to have the time off, I was able to get caught up on a lot of things.
On Friday we got about 6-8 inches of snow. This is probably the second largest amount of snow that Ginger has ever seen. In any case, she was thrilled to go running and jumping and digging through it. Here’s a short video clip, it’s about two minutes long.

And here are some pictures of her having a great time! I know the weather’s been nasty throughout most of the states, I hope that where ever you are, that you and your animals are staying safe and warm.
I love this! Those flapping ears as she comes running are just too cute. Hope you’re all keeping warm!
We are doing our best to stay warm!
She does NOT like to spend much time outside when it’s cold. Usually she
spends most of the day outside–so she was a bit bored last week.
Thankfully it is much warmer today–should be in the 40s.

Mary, That was great fun to watch. It was almost as good as being there. What fun! Thanks for posting. Les
Aww I love the way she was stalking out the door. 😀 It looks like she was having so much fun! We only got about three inches here so it wasn’t as pretty (didn’t cover the grass) or as much fun. Oh well. It sounds like we’re supposed to get six inches tomorrow. I just hope it’s the last snow for the year. I’m getting tired of it all lol. Glad you enjoyed your time off. Have fun!
She always stalks like that. 🙂
It’s so she can surprise the squirrels!! Unfortunately, they usually run away anyways when we open the back door.
cute!
I personally am SICK of the snow. I love it when we get really BIG storms, so you can’t do much else but stay inside and relax…well kinda…I guess trekking out to the farm to feed horses in less than ideal conditions will always be part of the job….but aside from that it’s nice to have time off work, and an otherwise unexpected free day.
But this year in PA we’ve been getting lots of MINI storms. Ice, rain, sleet, wind, snow…..bad enough to make you miserable – but not bad enough to keep you from work/school. I’m starting to wonder if Spring will ever come….sigh. 🙂
I am trying to enjoy it….
I know I’ll be complaining about 100 degree days in 6 months!
She is adorable. I hope you all are okay down there, snow is hard when you aren’t used to dealing with it and don’t have any equipment to get it out of the way.
The city shuts down when it snows, so we just hole up inside.
My dad had to leave the house during the storm at one point, so he “shoveled” the front walk with a big broom. Lack of equipment is right!
