This post is part of the Stale Cheerios 2014 holiday gift guide and giveaways series.
This week is giveaway week at Stale Cheerios! I have a handful of great giveaways to thank you, my wonderful readers, for reading my blog, commenting on posts, and helping me share information about positive animal training. We’re kicking off the week with a giveaway for a $50 Dogwise gift card.
(Disclosure. Stale Cheerios received this gift card from Dogwise.com. As well, this post contains affiliate links. Dogwise has always been one of my favorite places to shop for dog books and DVDs. They have a great selection of products, including books about dog training, dog behavior, dog care, breeding and genetics, running a dog business, health and nutrition, and more. Dogwise also sells some general books about behavior and training that apply to ALL species. In addition, one thing that I love about Dogwise is that they also have books and DVDs that are hard, if not impossible, to find on Amazon or other sites, such as Denise Fenzi’s books and Bob Bailey’s DVDs.
In addition to books and DVDs, they also carry a selection of clickers, treat pouches, dog toys, and more. And, there’s free shipping for any order over $75. I’m not sure about you, but I know it’s pretty easy for me to find $75 worth of new training and behavior books that I would like to read!
Also, I would encourage you to visit the Dogwise Facebook page and become a fan, if you aren’t already. They regularly post information about newly released books, so it’s a great way to stay up to date with what’s new in the dog world.
Speaking of new books…
Did you know that Karen Pryor recently released a new book? Some other new releases that are available from Dogwise that I am looking forward to reading are Denise Fenzi’s second Dog Sports Skills book, Claudia Fugazza’s book about using social learning to train dogs, and this new book about the science of canine play behavior.
And, a few ideas to get you started with your holiday shopping
I suggest starting by checking out the Dogwise best sellers section, the APDT recommended reading lists, or the categories for advanced and professional training. If you’re looking for books for friends with dogs, APDT has a great list of books for pet dog owners and for new puppy owners.
