ORCA conference: Register now!

ORCA conference at UNT 2014

Early registration ends tomorrow for the 6th annual Art and Science of Animal Training Conference, which will be held March 22 in Denton, Texas. This is going to be a fantastic conference and I can’t wait for it! The conference is getting close to being sold out. So, if you’re thinking about going, I encourage you to register now.

The keynote speaker for the 2014 conference will be Dr. Jaak Panksepp, a world-renowned neuroscientist from Washington State University. Dr. Panksepp be discussing some of his research on animal emotions and the SEEKING system, as well as how this relates to animal training. I’m really excited to hear Dr. Panksepp speak and to also get to talk to him about his research on laughter in rats.

Additional presentations will include Bob Bailey, Alexandra Kurland, Kay Laurence, Phung Luu, Ken Ramirez, and Steve White. I love listening to all of these trainers, so I’m really looking forward to the conference.
