Equine Artists

I love positive training methods and clicker training because it opens up a whole range of new behaviors we can teach our animals that could never be possible with traditional methods. I’ve recently found a new blog that I love. Cheryl, the woman who owns the website, has taught all four of her horses to paint! Click on this link, and you can see a sampling of their artwork.

Also, here’s a short clip from youtube showing one of her horses painting:

She also has a great blog, which can be found here. She talks about her training methods using attraction based training and also does a fun little comic strip where she pokes fun at the normal horse world.

She also has a section on her website that features videos and a diary of her horse DaVinci, who came to her after probably a very troubled past. I’ve enjoyed reading his story, as he reminds me of some of the rescue horses I’m working with. I always love seeing how much good positive training methods can do for an animal!
